The Infinity Room – The 14th room of the House, completed in 1985, this engineering marvel extends 218 feet out over the scenic valley and 156 feet above the forests floor. The Infinity Room has 3,264 windows for walls that treat guests to a truly spectacular view. – House on the Rock Website
The Infinity Room is quite impressive. I think we easily spent 30 minutes just taking in the sights and experiencing the room. This a cantilever style room, fitting with the rest of the house that mimics Frank Lloyd Wright’s style of architecture.
If you look toward the end of the room, it does seem as though it goes on forever. There is a bar halfway down and a window in the floor to see the tops of the tree far below you. I’m thankful that was as far as we were allowed to venture because even at the halfway mark, the wind and people walking cause the room to bounce and move.
